I would like to acknowledge the Kunwinjku people who are the traditional custodians of this land.
I would also like to pay respect to the elders past and present of the Kunwinjku nation and extend that respect to other Aboriginal people present.
Family trip to Gunbalanya where we spent sometimes with freshwater mermaids women and our friends who live there, working at Injalak Art Center and learning how to weave the sun with pandanus leaves.
This was broadcast as well during a satellite event of the 4th Biennale 2016 for art and technology in Trondheim, Meta.morf : We Hold This Myth To Be Potential, Investigations into Afrofuturism.
